BCE is an international cotton association with about 180 members in 30 countries. Main groups are cotton merchants and spinning mills in continental Europe, mainly Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic and the Baltic states. We provide international trading rules including technical and quality arbitration. Our labratory, the Bremen Fiber Institute,offers advanced technology for cotton testing and performs international round trials for instrument calibration. We organize cotton seminars and international cotton conferences.The next one will be in March 2006.

Married to his wife Christa since 19 years. He has got three sons. Active in civic and social organisations like chamber of commerce etc. In his spare time he plays tennis or goes sailing on the North and the Baltic Sea.
